Acceptable Use Policy
The ground rules for keeping the Talos network fast and safe for everyone.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all customers of Talos Hosting LLC. Violations may result in suspension or termination of service. Talos Hosting may update this policy at any time, with or without notice. The most current version is always available at https://taloshosting.com/acceptable-use.
Prohibited Content
You may not host content that is unlawful, infringes intellectual-property rights, depicts the exploitation of minors, contains pornography or nudity of any kind, promotes violence or hate, distributes malware, or violates any applicable law in your jurisdiction or the United States.
Email Use and Spam
Email accounts included with our hosting plans may be used only for the following purposes:
- Personal: Conversational messages between individuals or small groups outside of a professional context.
- Professional: Day-to-day business correspondence used to manage workplace operations and B2B relationships.
- Operational: Messages sent to notify users of essential updates regarding a business, service, or account status.
- Marketing: Messages sent to an opt-in list of subscribers to drive engagement, nurture leads, or build brand loyalty.
- Transactional: Messages triggered automatically by a user action to deliver vital, expected information.
Cold email — unsolicited, targeted outbound outreach to individuals with no prior relationship to initiate a business conversation — is strictly prohibited.
Sending unsolicited bulk email (UBE/SPAM), running open relays, harvesting addresses, or operating any service that generates spam complaints is likewise strictly prohibited.
Security and Abuse
You may not use Talos Hosting to attempt unauthorized access to systems, run port scans, distribute denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with the operation of our network or any third-party network.
Resource Use
Plans include unlimited NVMe storage and unlimited monthly data transfer under reasonable use. Activities that monopolize CPU, memory, disk I/O, or network capacity to the detriment of other accounts may be throttled or suspended.
Backups and Storage
Hosting accounts are intended for live website data — not as an archive, file-storage service, or backup target for unrelated systems. Server-level backups are maintained by our upstream infrastructure provider for disaster recovery only; you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of individual account data, as described in the Terms of Service.
Cryptocurrency and Mining
Cryptocurrency mining and similar high-CPU continuous workloads are not permitted.
Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or immediate termination without refund. We may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting Abuse
Report suspected abuse on the Talos network to support@taloshosting.com with the relevant URLs, headers, and timestamps.
