Getting Started

Shared hosting means multiple customer accounts live on the same physical server, with each account sharing the overall hardware. With Talos Hosting, that is exactly what you get: every domain you add sits inside a single cPanel account and shares the allocated 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, and cPanel resources assigned to that account. It's a cost-effective way to run several websites without managing a server yourself.

The only difference is how many domains you can host. The full feature set — LiteSpeed, NVMe, unlimited storage, unlimited monthly data transfer, daily server-level backups, 24/7 support — ships on every tier from $29 to $199.

No. Talos Hosting does not sell or register domains. You purchase your own domain from any registrar, then point its nameservers to Talos Hosting so we can serve your site.

After signup, you'll receive nameservers in your welcome email. Log in to your domain registrar's control panel and replace the existing nameservers with the ones we provide. DNS changes usually take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate worldwide. Talos Hosting's nameservers are: ns1.talosdns.com ns2.talosdns.com ns3.talosdns.com ns4.talosdns.com

Standard cPanel — the industry-standard interface for managing sites, email, databases, and DNS.

Yes. WordPress runs beautifully on the LiteSpeed + NVMe stack, and our one-click app installer ships with WordPress and 500+ other applications.

Talos Hosting uses Softaculous, which includes 500+ one-click installers for apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, PrestaShop, phpBB, and many more. You can browse the full catalog at softaculous.com/apps.

Your account will be provisioned within 24 hours after payment. You will receive a welcome email with cPanel login details and nameservers as soon as your account is ready.

Resources & Performance

Your sites can welcome as many visitors as they need without overage charges. There is no artificial bandwidth meter. Peak second-to-second speeds are governed by your account's dedicated 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM allocation, so the server stays fast and fair for everyone.

Correct. Disk space is unmetered NVMe SSD and monthly data transfer is unlimited. We do not charge overages. The only practical limits are your account's 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM allocation, which keeps performance fair for all users on the platform.

Talos Hosting's hardware allocations are fixed and cannot be changed on any account. We are not geared toward enterprise-level clients or large-scale services. If your needs grow beyond the included 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM, we recommend moving to a more comprehensive hosting solution that can scale with your workload.

We support PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, Perl, Python, and Node.js on select configurations. Every plan includes unlimited MySQL databases.

Yes. Full FTP and SSH access is available on every plan, so you can manage files, run scripts, or deploy directly from your local workflow.

We target 99.9% uptime on all paid plans. Our infrastructure uses redundant power, network, and cooling to keep your sites online.

All hardware is racked in a US data center located in Secaucus, New Jersey, with redundant power, HVAC, and network connectivity. The data center maintains SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS certifications.

Security & Data Protection

Yes — unlimited free SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt are automatically provisioned on every domain you host with Talos.

Yes. If you already own an SSL certificate, you can install it through cPanel for any domain on your account. That said, the free Let's Encrypt certificates provisioned automatically on every domain meet the needs of most users.

Our hosting provider runs daily automated server-level backups to protect against catastrophic loss. You can also generate, download, and restore your own files and databases through cPanel at any time. We still recommend keeping your own off-site backups as part of your data-protection routine.

Yes. We run ClamAV virus scanning, network-level DDoS mitigation, firewalls, and daily server-level backups by our infrastructure provider. Free SSL certificates encrypt traffic to every domain, and our US data center follows strict physical security practices and maintains SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS certifications.

Our servers are housed in a US data center that maintains SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS certifications.

Email & Applications

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited 10 GB email mailboxes, webmail access, and full email routing. You can create addresses for any domain you host.

Yes. Every plan includes 1 managed Passenger application (Python, Ruby, or Node.js). Because every account has a fixed 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM allocation, this limit cannot be increased.

Absolutely. WooCommerce, Magento, and other e-commerce platforms run well on our stack. Every plan includes the SSL certificates, databases, and email needed to sell online.

Billing & Plans

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payments are facilitated securely through Stripe.

Yes. You can upgrade from a lower lifetime tier to a higher one at any time by paying the difference between the two plans. Your existing sites and data stay exactly where they are. To upgrade, open a support ticket or email support@taloshosting.com.

Yes. Because these are lifetime plans with a one-time payment, there is nothing to cancel on a recurring basis. If you'd like your account deleted, open a support ticket and we'll remove it — deletion is permanent and irreversible. If you want a refund, our 30-day refund policy applies.

We honor a 30-day refund policy. See our Refund Policy page for full details.

We do not offer a general free trial. The 30-day refund policy lets you try the service risk-free.

Support & Migrations

24/7 ticket support from our hosting team. Live chat on the main site is for general pre-sales questions only.

Yes, you're welcome to migrate your sites to Talos. To keep our lifetime pricing sustainable, we don't perform migrations for you, but our support team will do their best to guide you through the process and answer questions along the way.

Yes. The higher-tier plans are designed for agencies, freelancers, and developers who manage multiple sites for clients. Each domain is isolated within your account.

We do not currently run a public affiliate program. If you love the service, tell a friend — we'd rather invest that money into faster hardware and better support.
